UN Security Council Condemns Violation of Human rights in CAR

Shortly after the brief by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General for the Central African Republic (CAR), Mankeur Ndiaye, the UN Security Council, condemned in strong terms the ongoing human rights violations and violations of International humanitarian law in the Central African Republic. The Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Estonia's Representative, Gert Auvaart, at a stakeout, urged all parties-
"to respect their obligations under international humanitarian law to ensure safe and unhindered humanitarian access."
Estonia occupies the seat of the rotational presidency of the Security Council for June.
