Samia Suluhu Hassan Takes over The Mantle of Leadership in Tanzania

Samia Suluhu Hassan has been sworn in as the President of Tanzania, making history as the first female President in the Country, following the sudden death of President John Magufuli.
The 61-year-old Hassan, who was sworn in at a ceremony in the capital, Dar es Salaam Friday, will serve as President of the East African Country for 5 years to complete the late President's second term in office.
In her acceptance speech, President Suluhu Hassan called for unity at such a trying period in its history.

"Today, I have taken an oath different from the rest that I have taken in my career...Today I took the highest oath of office in mourning."

Meanwhile, condolence messages are still coming in from different parts of the world for the government and people of Tanzania as they mourn the death of Magafuli.
The people loved 61-year old John Magafuli for some of his laudable achievements in the Country.
In Tanzania, the opposition politicians complained about his health following his absence from public functions more than a week before his death.
