UN Under-Secretary-General, Pierre Lacroix said; "there can be no sustainable peace if women are not fully involved as active participants in the process of advocacy for peace and tranquility." He remarked at a high-level dialogue to commemorate the 20th Anniversary of the Security Council resolution 1325 which acknowledged the disproportionate and aberrant impact of armed conflict on women and girls. Kenya's Cabinet Secretary for Affairs, Raychelle Awour Omamo, at the virtual meeting encouraged women to add critical benefits to the lives of women and their communities in the field.
