Nigeria at PDAC 2023

The Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) had an outstanding level of attendance at its annual Convention for 2023.
With 23 819 attendees to the business investment networking opportunities in the mineral exploration and mining industry, Nigeria took advantage of the full roster of programs to promote opportunities in the sector.

The Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Olamilekan Adegbite, at the Nigeria day for investors, emphasized the political will of the Buhari administration to attract investors to Nigeria.

And this was evident in various presentations by the Director General of the Nigeria Geological Survey Agency, Dr Abdulrasaq Garba, and the Director General Mining  Cadastre office, Obadiah Simon Nkom.

Investors already thriving in the sector in Nigeria gave updates on ongoing projects Given the institutionalized business-friendly incentives enshrined in the 2007 Mining Act, Minister Adegbite says prospective investors have much to benefit from Nigeria.

And in Canada, the Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa is always available to provide support and guidance for all investors willing to take advantage of opportunities in the sector

Minister Adegbite and the Permanent Secretary, Dr Oluwatoyin Akinlade, attended the Convention with a strong team from the ministry.
