Joy Osiagwu is a broadcast journalist and a media consultant with over two decades of practice in Nigeria and North America. Joy is a great multitasking Media personality, News anchor, reporter, producer, and videographer/ film editor. She adds a unique flair to her storytelling technique to captivate the listener, viewer or reader. Osiagwu covered activities of the Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa, Canada and the Permanent Mission of Nigeria to the United Nations in New York for a decade, including the United Nations Rotational Presidency of the Security Council during the tenure of the former Permanent Representative of Nigeria to the UN Mission, Professor Joy Ogwu in January 2014-December, 2015 (April 2014 and August 2015) for the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). Due to her intuitive ability to tell great stories, Joy continued with the coverage of the UN General Assembly Sessions and Heads of Government High-level meetings from 2013-2017. Apart from covering the United Nations Global Compact for Safe, Orderly and Regular Migration in Marrakech, Morocco in 2018, Joy Osiagwu covered the election process and emergence of the 74th President of the United Nations General Assembly, Professor Tijjani Muhammad Bande in June 2019, at the UN in New York. Osiagwu obtained a Masters in Business Administration and Media Leadership from the University of Cumbria in the United Kingdom. She also has a post-graduate diploma in Broadcast Performing Arts from the Columbia Academy, Vancouver British Columbia, Canada. She obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Drama, majoring in Theatre for Development (TFD) at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria. Osiagwu is a member of IFLAS, (the Institute for Leadership and Sustainability, Cumbria Business School). Joy is passionate about Africa and community news. Osiagwu worked at the Nigerian Television Authority for 23 years and retired voluntarily in September 2019. She is the Media and Public Relations Associate at the Nigeria High Commission in Ottawa, Canada. |

Rita Iorbo |
Rita Iorbo is a passionate community development worker with over fifteen years of work experience as a senior research officer, administrative manager, and feature writer. She has worked with the government and non-governmental sectors nationally and internationally. Rita holds a Master of Arts degree in International Peace Studies from the United Nations University for Peace (UPeace), Costa Rica, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Benue State University, Makurdi-Nigeria. Iorbo has completed several online courses in diverse fields, including gender, human trafficking, and humanitarian services. She is an advocate of justice, gender equality and freedom of expression as a way of promoting peace, building safer communities and ensuring democratic sustainability. Iorbo is also an experienced mediator and dispute resolution trainer. |

Ozioma Ibeto is a young and vibrant multi-faceted journalist. She obtained a graduate degree in Master of Media in Journalism and Communication from Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. Ibeto received the Walter Blackburn Award for her multi-media capstone project. She has published over 30 articles while working as an intern at 980 CFPL, a Canadian based radio station affiliated with Global News Canada, where her stories are published. |
