The Formula E Championship will be held in Cape Town next week, and preparations are well underway.
This is a first for Africa.
It is the first all-electric street racing series in the world.
Formula E cars run on 100% renewable energy and there is a major focus on developing alternative energy solutions.
Several road closures are already in effect to accommodate the facilities.
